Community Service

  • Booth at the Reston Farmers Market May through November.
  • Eyeglass recycling.  We collect and refurbish old, discarded eyeglasses and hearing aids through the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers in Roanoke and Falls Church and the Hearing Aid Bank in Arlington. Finished products are distributed overseas to centers of great poverty in developing countries as well as locally.
  • Bland Music Concert.  Annual music competitions for middle and high school students.
  • Adopt-a-Highway 
  • Box Tops and Soup Labels for Education collection for Dogwood Elementary School.  Box Tops Collection Program
  • Can-Tab Collection Program for Area Childrens Hospitals
  • Vision, hearing, diabetes, and glaucoma testing for members of the community using the Lions Club Mobile Health Screening Van.
  • Tuition scholarships to students with sight or hearing disabilities.
  • Support of local youth organizations including Reston Youth Baseball, South Lakes High School activities, Children's Hospital and Boy Scout Troop 1802.
  • Support for local students learning English as a second language.
