Screenings at Buddist Temple

The Reston Lions screened 45 people with District 24-A Sight and Hearing Van at the Works Sunday location at the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation over the weekend.  Works Sunday is a volunteer event in the Reston-Herndon community that involves over 20 service projects run on the same day.  The partner organizations are usually Faith-based organizations in the community.
"Works Sunday is an annual day of service in Northern Virginia, including many activities in the Reston and Herndon communities. Each year, over the past 15 years, people of many faiths -- Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs and others -- have worked side by side to celebrate the values that unite us, while addressing important social issues like hunger, homelessness, and special needs of those less fortunate. As we work toward a more compassionate community, we get to know each other as brothers and sisters." -  http://www.workssunday.org/

Here is Lion Don Leas explaining our process to the new Herndon Leo Club President; Sudjal.
